THE SABOTEUR
Well many things can be said for this game, it all depends on how you game.
For me i like open world sandbox games, it is a true free play do what you want game..If you fancy killing nazis at your lesuire or completing the story in any way you see fit, then read on.
It is set in a ww2 atmosphere where you take on a roll of Sean Devlin an irish speaking wacko who is trying to free france of the nazi occupation, Saboteur is based on a real-life war hero tasked with disarming the Nazi forces.
You start off with a quick run down of how you became to be in the thick of nazi territory with your satchel full of charges and weapons at the ready, you will do some “compulsory” missions at the beginning, these are more tutorial missions on how to do things in the game; such as aiming, charging, disguises and also lets you in on the story gentley.
The Paris backdrop is truly very good in my book and once you free parts of the world, it bleeds colour.. yes thats right.. most of the backdrop is black and white, dull and looks depressing..but you progress to remove the nazis and create a colourful bleed effect which leaves you feeling very satisfied and a sense of achievement.
The world is so open you can go and do anything you want without restrictions, which makes this game playable and exciting.
Sean can speed around in a wide assortment of Nazi and civilian vehicles, but is also allowed to climb, jump, walk and run his surroundings just like Mercs, Assassin’s Creed, and uncharted.
The gameplay is so sandbox and it does exactly what it says on the tin.
You can approch a missions from any angle, whther its from the roof tops or bashing through with a motorcycle that you stole..it doesn’t matter how you get the job done.. you are not restricted to follow any partcular route.
You can go in all guns blazing, murder a 100 people or.. you can go in as a disguised nazi and do it stealthy and quiet.. it all depends on how you want to play.. for me.. i find blowing off a nazis head quite satisfying..then proceed to steal there vehicles and get the hell out of there before the army come chasing me.
The stealth gameplay is alot of fun however, breaking necks, disguising and sneeking about puts a new spin on this open world game..but yor disguise’s are no good if you just shot 12 rounds of slugs into a nazi general.. with bullet holes in it.. you have to do it properly – by a quick sharp blow to the head.. or a quick crack of the neck.
Alot of people are saying this is GTA but with nazis and i have to disagree, this is a unique game in many ways.. since when can you do all this in gta?
Saboteur’s main story is about 10 hours long if you do not no side missions..follow the story completly and miss out all the free roam stuff.. or get distracted by the sexy nude women in the MIDNIGHT SHOW – You can buy extra maps in game for contraband which shows you extra targets to kill, things to do and places to go.. like i said OPEN WORLD do what you will.
Because i have side tracked and done various side missions and just generally gone on a murder spree i am already at a 14 hour play time, so there you go.. lots of time on this game.
This is an absolute blast while it lasts, and a welcome addition to the over-used selection of World War II games, you are in control of this game, you do it how you want to do it.
Its not in your face, it doesn’t put any restrictions on your gameplay and you all want to kill the nazi’s right?
I had alot of fun so far on this game, especially when i found a tank that some poor german nazi left for me to get in – oh the mess and carnage haha!
Lots of naked women, swearing and generally “dont care attitude” in this game, if that sounds like something you want.. then go out and get this game.
This is the last game from pandemic studios, and i think they went out with a bang.
Pros: Big open enviroment, Nice selection of guns, wide assortment of missions, black/white to colour and midnight show 
Cons: Stealth is hit n miss, Driving is stiff, some nazis AI is wrong, the story is not that deep overall.
So the game is not perfect and you will find it gets slated alot for the bad parts in this game, and yes it isn’t perfect.. there are some minor issues – but much more postive things than negative.. in my opinion i bet alot of people play it for 10 minutes and get bored because they want to play something else they are used to..for any free roam/sandbox fan.. you WILL enjoy this game.
