Going to try and do this without to many spoilers..but because of the nature of the review you might find the odd spoiler.. so if you plan to buy this and don’t want to know any of the story, i wouldn’t read this just yet.
Mafia 2 is set in 40’s and 50’s , the opening is you come back from war and then start from scratch working for your friend Joe and gradually working your way up into a made man.
The problem i found with this game is it becomes boring fast, alot of missions which are samey in regards to drive here, pick this person up, drive back.. go and talk to this person and drive for short distances in between.
The game world isn’t even that big.. you can cover this city in no time at all.

First of all you have to laugh at the message on this logo “buy original” – lol…
If you’re using the PSJailbreak and you get a ‘8002A227′ error code, that’s the sign of a detection and ban.
According to ps3hax.net the Backup manager game ID (LAUN-12345) could be recorded by Sony when players are logged into the PlayStation Network – exposing users of the illegal PSjb/clone.
But this would only apply if you use the ps3 online of course.

Defence Secretary Liam Fox has slammed a computer game which allows players to kill British troops as a Taliban insurgent as ‘tasteless’.
Mr Fox called for the game to be banned and said the idea of recreating Taliban attacks on allied soldiers was disgusting.
‘I am disgusted and angry. It’s hard to believe any citizen of our country would wish to buy such a thoroughly un-British game.
‘I would urge retailers to show their support for our armed forces and ban this tasteless product.’

My Thoughts: Get over it, it’s a game.. every game has a faction/army you kill.. whether james bond killing russians, battlefield killing the chinese/russians or MEC .. and then you have modern warfare.. walking into an airport.. just to name a few… more sales for DICE and EA then, lol.

Gameinformer have posted a mafia 2 review, it scores a whopping 9/10 ..
They do say a few things are ann0ying and it has alot of cutscenes, but generally a favourable review.
I will be getting this game..but 9/10?
